Biography

After working for the government Insolvency Service in London and Birmingham, Mr. Hill joined what became PricewaterhouseCoopers insolvency team in 1978.  During his career at PwC he was responsible for theUKpersonal insolvency practice, and for the firm’s technical and risk management function for Europe, Africa and theMiddle East.  Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 Mr. Hill consulted extensively in Eastern Europe helping to implement modern insolvency laws and institutions, and was also a Council member and Treasurer of Insol Europe.  Insol, the global association of insolvency professionals, made Mr. Hill the eighth person ever to be appointed honorary life member.  He has acted as an expert witness for insolvency practitioners both in court proceedings and before professional tribunals.

Mr. Hill has also written extensively, having been a contributing author to a number of standard textbooks and editor of Tolley’s Insolvency Law and Practice, a leading journal.
